Virginia Dale Alexander

Services for Mrs. Virginia Dale Alexander will be held at Graveside on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 11 a.m. with Bro. Josh Yeager officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery. Mrs. Alexander passed away on December 30, 2007 in Centennial, CO. James F. Webb funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Virginia was a longtime resident of Meridian before moving to Jackson, MS and then later to Colorado, to be near her children. Virginia was born on March 12, 1917 in Fort Branch, IN. She met and married her husband Sam in Terre Haute, IN. They moved to Meridian in 1949, where they raised their children and were blessed with many dear friends. Virginia was a member of First Baptist Church and active in numerous volunteer organizations. She was known for her energy, spirit, determination, and generosity.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years: Sam Alexander Sr. of Centennial, CO. Son, Sam Alexander Jr. of Castle Rock, CO. Sisters, Norma Roberts and Ruth Engles.

Seven Grandchildren: Jerry Alexander, Jr. of Spur, TX; Paige Bizzell of Dimmitt, TX; Ashley Tinnin Frazer of Memphis, TN; Natalie Tinnin Lynch of Hernando, MS; Jill Tinnin of Jackson, MS; Eric Alexander of Huntsville, AL, and Dana Alexander of Castle Rock, CO.

Seven Great Grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Alexander, Sr., and her daughter, Janet Tinnin.
