Mr. Ivy, 48, of Lauderdale, passed from his earthly life to his eternal rest July 22, 2013. He was born on April 13, 1965 in Quitman, the son of the late Steve Buddy Ivy, Sr. and Dorothy Blair Ivy. The fifth of seven children, Wade was raised country style. He loved fishing, hunting, turnip greens, peas and cornbread and he loved drinking his coffee, oh and we cant forget his banana pudding. He loved all his family and his inlaws. In his heart they were all the same. He was a little man with a huge heart and such a sweet soul. I dont think he ever met a stranger or turned anyone in need away and would do what he could to help.

Wade worked several different jobs through his years, starting out at Whitleys Curb Market, but the one he loved the most was the years he spent in the oil fields. He spent 27 of his years with WLS owned by Gerald and Walt Waltman. You could ask him what color his blood was and he would say he didnt reckon he had any blood, it was all oil. He passed away still dreaming of going back into the fields one day. None of us know the future or what the future may hold, but I do know it is going to be lonely without Wade. He could make you smile just by grinning at you or saying something completely off the wall. Hed look at you with the Im serious look and we would laugh again. Always such a good sport about it, he would just keep you tickled. We miss him already, but are looking forward to our reunion.

Wade leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 14 years, April J. Ford Ivy of Lauderdale two sons, Slay A. Ivy of Stonewall, and Wade Luke Ivy, Jr. of Lauderdale daughter, Deanna A. Ivy of Stonewall mother, Dorothy Blair Ivy father and mother in law, Billy and Lynn Ford of Lauderdale brothers, Ravon Ivy and Ferlin Ivy both of Quitman brothers in law, Blake Thomas of Tupelo, Brent Thomas and J.D. Ware of Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Tony Margadonna of Meridian, and Andrew Lowery of Lauderdale sisters in law, Diane Ivy of Quitman, Angel Skinner and Amie Ford of Tuscaloosa, Amber Thomas and Ashleigh Margadonna of Meridian, and Bobbie Sue Boothe of West Monroe, La. and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Wade is preceded in death by his son, Carleton Ray Ivy father, Steve Buddy Ivy, Sr. brothers, Seaburn, Stoney, and Ringo Ivy sister, Jeanie Ivy sister in law, Lynn Ivy and nephews, Stoney Sage Ivy and Tristen Lee Hale.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Ivy, Jr., Dale Ivy, Blake Thomas, Brent Thomas, J.D. Ware, and Andrew Lowery. Honorary pallbearers will be Billy Ford, Slay A. Ivy, Wade Luke Ivy, Jr., Ravon Ivy, Ferlin Ivy, Shane Ivy, and Bruce Ivy, Sr.
