Graveside services for Mr. Walter Ray Pace will be held at 12 noon Friday, February 22nd at the MS Veterans Cemetery in Newton, MS with Bro. Dennis Robinson officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Pace of Bailey/Kemper County, MS passed away Friday at his home in Collinsville, MS. He served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Pace retired from Auto Zone in 2012. He was an avid farmer and loved his goats.
Mr. Pace is survived by his wife of 61 years Ruby Creekmore Pace; sons Ray Pace (Debi), Terry Pace (Dawn); daughter Michelle Dickson; brother Harold Pace (Mary); sisters Val Weathers (Jimmy), Pat Colwick (John); grandchildren Drew Pace (Amanda), Hannah Ballew (Tommy), Wayne Pace (Victoria), Brandi Pace, Haylee Pace, Brock Busbea (Renae), Clarke Dickson, Blair Dickson, Tres Dobbins, Margaret McGuffee (Steven), Lucy Newman; great-grandchildren Ruby Ballew, Aiden Haehl, Adalynn Luebbers, Blaze Busbea and Adrian Dickson.
He was preceded in death by his parents Walter Emanuel Pace and Euna Delma Caldwell Pace; mother in law Opal Creekmore-Davidson; son Gary Wayne Pace; brothers and sisters Euna Mae Pratt, Mertie Gladys Combs, Albert Eugene Pace, Charley William Pace, Edmund Bradley Pace and Sarah Ellen Smith.
