Mr. William Ray Boswell

Funeral services for Mr. Ray Boswell will be held Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 1:30 pm, at Webb Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Albert "Hack"McMullen and Bro. Jack Kern officiating. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 pm on Friday, July 15, 2016 at Webb Funeral. Interment will be held at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Boswell, 73, of Meridian, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at Rush Hospital. Ray owned and operated his refrigeration business for 35 years. He was faithful servant of Lauderdale County, serving his community for 20 years as a supervisor. Ray was always outspoken about his views and whether you agreed with him or not you had to agree that he loved his constituents. He was a master mason in St.'s John Lodge #507 and a member of Hamasa Shrine.

He was survived by his Daughters, Tammy Faucette (David) of Nashville, TN, Tammie Pirie (John) and Tanya Jay (Billy), both of Meridian; Grandchildren, Bliss Runnels (Jeffrey), Lexie Harper, Luke Harper, Landon Harper, Raegan Jay, and Rivers Jay; Sisters, Elaine McCary and Tommie Jean Avera; and a Brother, Horace "Shorty" Boswell.

He was preceded by his parents, Thomas and Mattie Boswell; a daughter, Angela Dawn Boswell; and by numerous brothers and sisters, being the youngest of 19 children.

Pallbearers will be Ken Avera, Keith Avera, Kevin Avera, Mike McCary, Joe Boswell, Thomas "Bubba" Boswell, and Sidney Boswell.
