Graveside services for W. Calvin Jones will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery with the Revs. Dr. Raymon Leake and Matt Snowden officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jones, 97, of Meridian, died Wednesday, June 4, 2008, at Beverly Health Care Center. He was a member of Poplar Springs Drive Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served in World War II. Survivors include his daughter, Gaile Culpepper and her husband, John, of Meridian; grandchildren, Jonda Henry and her husband, Brad, and John L. Culpepper III and his wife, Julie, all of Meridian; great-grandchildren, Myles Culpepper and Katie Grace Culpepper, both of Meridian; a brother, Kelly Jones and his wife, Beth, of Madison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rubye Pagan Jones; parents, Spinks Kelly Jones and Barbra Jenkins Jones and a sister, Gulda Jones. Pallbearers will be Brad Henry, John L. Culpepper Jr., Ben Jones, John L. Culpepper III, Trey Long and Joey Mabry. Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m.- 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
