William Lamar "Bill" Slay

Graveside services for William Lamar "Bill" Slay will be held Thursday at 10 am at Chunky Cemetery with Bro. Wayne Campbell officiating. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Slay, 83, of Chunky, died Monday, April 20, 2015 at his residence. He was a retired truck driver with Roadway and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U. S. Air Force.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Nancy Slay; children, Diane Moore (Charlie), Barbara Mayton (Kim), and Lindy Slay (Dorothy); grandchildren, Jamie Slay (Rebecca), Karen Beckham (Joey), Kim Anderson (Seamus), Justin Dowdle (Brenna), and Earl Slay (Deanna); 11 great grandchildren; brother, Mervyn Slay; and sisters, Janell Burchett and Shirley Rice.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandy Slay; brothers, Harry and Percy Slay; and sister, Neva Richmond.

Pallbearers will be Mervyn Slay, Jr., Josh Slay, Joey Beckham, Seamus Anderson, and Joe Slay.
