William W. Pete Smith

Services for William W. Pete Smith will be held Wednesday at 2 pm at Carmel Baptist Church with Bro. Joe Anderson officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Smith, 82, of Meridian, died Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife Elsie Evola Smith daughter, Melanie York and husband Robert grandchildren, Tiffany Douglas and husband Chris, Kandi Sheffield, Allison Hamilton, Brandon York, and Celena Whickman great grandchildren, Caitlyn, Kindal, and Laura Douglas, Breanna, Tyler, and Kolbie Sheffield, Ami and Maddie Thompson, and Teagan Koch daughter in law, Paula Harris 5 sisters and 1 brother and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his son, Burton Smith granddaughter, Sasha Smith and one sister and two brothers.

Pallbearers will be Chris Douglas, Kindal Douglas, Wyatt Salisbury, Jared Taylor, Grady Martin, and Richard Pickard.
