William Henry Wilson passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021. Services will be held at First Baptist Church Meridian on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., service at 11:30 a.m. and graveside following at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, House, MS.
Henry is survived by his wife Diane Wilson, his daughter Ashley McLeod and his son Lance Wilson. He was also survived by his grandchildren, Cooper McLeod and Shelby McLeod and Miles Wilson, his son-in-law Gary McLeod, daughter-in-law Rachael Wilson, and his sister-in-law Libby Wilson.
Henry was a member of First Baptist Church, a past deacon, and served on various church committees. He managed the Troy Laundry plant in Meridian for 51 years, until his retirement in 2010. Henry was a dedicated Masonic member for 52 years, where he held dual membership at Sts. John Lodge No. 507 in Meridian and Enterprise Lodge No. 585. Henry was a Scottish Rite mason since 1969, becoming a 33 degree SR mason in 1985. He served as the Scottish Rite Meridian Valley secretary since 2010 until his death. Henry was also a member of the York Rite bodies and the Hamasa Shriners, where he held many positions of importance.
Henry was born on January 20, 1940 in House, MS. He attended East Central Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he met and married his wife of 52 years. Henry loved his family, and was very dedicated to being a friend to others and in serving his Masonic fraternity with his brothers.
Pall Bearers are Keith Buckley, Josh Denning, Don Evans, Wallace Heggie, Ashley Lewis, Terry Lewis, Kevin Remy, and Todd Skinner. Honorary pall bearers are Fred Bean, Frank Evans, Harry Dayton, Mickey McMahan, Bill Sloan, Joe Sneed, and Jared Stanley.
