Nannie Bowden

Services for Nannie Mae Bowden will be held Wednesday, August 4, 2021, 11:30 a.m., at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with Bro. Danny Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Horeb Baptist Church Cemetery. James F. Webb Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Mrs. Bowden, 95, of Meridian, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2021, at her residence.

Nannie was a devoted member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church for 63 years. She was a familiar face at the Super Stop, where she was employed for 25 years. She also had a green thumb and absolutely loved tending to her flowers. She will be remembered and missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Lloyd Bowden and Judy Temple (Buddy); 10 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Bowden; daughter, Linda Watson; parents, Jesse and Rebecca McCann; and siblings.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. and proceed until service time at the church.
